Basic Obedience classes are structured for dogs over 5 months of age who have not previously attended training classes (such as puppy class) or who would like to brush up on the basics to gain consistency and reliability. Dogs must be dog and people friendly. Dogs who lunge, bark and growl at other dogs or people are not appropriate for this class. Classes are 1 hour for 6 weeks and are $130+HST.
Call or email to register, space is very limited and classes fill quickly!
Basic Obedience classes fill some very important needs in your dog's life including stimulation (mentally and physically), bonding and gives your dog structure. We will help to ensure a confident, sociable and well-mannered pet that people, and you love to be around.
In the class we will learn basic commands (sit, come, down, stay, loose leash walking, leave it and more). We will work with you and your dog to get reliable and fast responses while having fun and a few laughs. We cover basic canine health, grooming, care, feeding and behaviour habits (jumping up on people, excitable behaviours, etc).
The important skills you will both learn in class can and will be taken out into the real world. Each week you will be given very simple instructions on how to practice the learning’s at home in short effective sessions.
Call or email Quinte Canine today to register for an upcoming class.
At this time, with dog training remaining an essential service, we are not required to participate in the vaccine passport system, unless for workshops or trials. But, as we all know, the government can (and does) change policies quickly. It is important to understand that if vaccine passports are required by the government in the future during dog training classes, all students will need to show valid proof of vaccination. Those unable to provide proof of vaccination can still participate via virtual means.
