Teen Basics classes are structured for Quinte Canine puppy class graduates who are under 6 months. If you want to keep learning and having fun during those 'teenager' times, this class is for you! Classes are 1 hour for 6 weeks and are $130+HST. Call or email to register, space is very limited and classes fill quickly!
As a graduate of the Quinte Canine Puppy class, you have work very hard to build a well-socialized, confident puppy who responds to you and enjoys social time and play. Don't loose all of your hard work over the coming months! Our Teen Basics Class is a great stepping stone for those who want to maintain and improve on their dogs skills during an important time (socially and physically).
In this class we will continue to work on your dogs environmental, dog and life socialization! This will help him/her continue to grow into a confident and happy dog during the transition period of his/her life.
Along with class social time your dog will work on important life skills such as recall, greetings, fun tricks, and many other cues (stay, watch, touch, swing, and more). We will work with you and your dog to get reliable and fast responses while having fun and a few laughs.
Classes are small enough so that your dog will get to meet new friends and you will get the individual time and attention from the trainer you deserve.
This class is in place of the Basic Obedience class. Those who have completed the Puppy and Teen classes can join Intermediate Obedience within a year.
We have created and implemented strict health and safety protocols for classes including social distancing guidelines, regular disinfection, mandatory masks and more. With uncertainty in the future we want to keep you and your family healthy. Should the government of Ontario increase restrictions once again and force us to close, our in-person group classes switching to a virtual classroom. We use a virtual classroom to 'meet' in a safe way. The class is run live and you are able to see, communicate and see demonstrations in real time. You still receive all the class handouts and we are here to support you even outside of class! Classes are fun, interactive and enjoyable; and the best part, your dog can be highly successful with dedicated attention on you. It is also important to understand that if vaccine passports are required by the government in the future during dog training classes, all students will need to show valid proof of vaccination. Those unable to provide proof of vaccination will need to be transferred to virtual classroom.
